CHC32015 – Certificate III in Community Services

With the expected employment growth in community services over the next 5 years, there has never been a more important time to consider a career in this sector.

This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.

COURSE DURATION/ METHOD OF DELIVERY

This course is delivered over 6 – 12 months. In order to provide flexible options, students can choose one of the following delivery options:

  • Classroom environment: Suitable for unemployed students. Content is delivered with weekly classroom sessions at our delivery locations.
  • Flexible delivery: Self-paced learning with one-on-one contact with one of our qualified trainers.

Whilst there is no mandatory work placement for this course it is strongly recommended that participants are exposed to community services environments.

To achieve a CHC32015 – Certificate III in Community Services 12 units must be completed including 5 core units and 7 elective units.

  • HLTWHS006 – Manage personal stressors in the work environment
  • HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care

  • CHCADV001 – Facilitate the interests and rights of clients
  • CHCLEG001 – Work legally and ethically
  • CHCDIS003 – Support community participation social inclusion
  • CHCCCS015 – Provide individualised support
  • CHCCOM001 – Provide first point of contact
  • CHCDIS007 – Facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability
  • BSBWOR301 – Organise personal work priorities and development
