Individual Support

Types of Individual Support Courses at the Aurora Training Institute

There are three courses offered here at Aurora Training including two specialisation skill sets and our Certificate III course in Individual Support.

CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support

The CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support is our main course offered at Aurora training along with a number of other short courses to specialise in either Aged Care or Disability care. Each skill set course allows you to further grow your skills in your chosen area to feel comfortable and informed in caring for those with a disability or the elderly population.

CHCSS00130 – Individual Support – Disability Skill Set

A CHCSS00130 – Individual Support – Disability Skill Set allows you to confidently step into community and residential disability care roles with a person-centric approach. Over 6 months, you’ll complete a series of core and elective units, as well as complete 120 hours of vocational work placement.

Your training will see you learn how to best support people with disabilities of all ages and backgrounds, safely and with empathy. During your work placement, you’ll be in a supported, hands-on environment, giving you real-world experience.

CHCSS00129 – Individual Support – Ageing Skill Set

Obtaining a CHCSS00129 – Individual Support – Ageing Skill Set with Aurora Training Institute allows you the flexibility of balancing work, life and study while you pursue your career in aged care support. You’ll be studying for up to 6 months, with both theoretical studies and work placement to give you a range of knowledge and hands-on experience.

At the end of your studies, you’ll be equipped to safely and ethically work in both community and residential aged care settings, in a way that puts the needs of the person first. With the guidance of industry-experienced trainers, you’ll feel confident to take on any role you pursue with your certification.
