About the Programme

This project is delivered as part of the Community Work Skills program under the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

Community Work Skills offers tailored assistance and integrated learner support to job seekers while they undertake a nationally recognised qualification (up to Certificate III level) and develop employment skills to prepare for work.

Is This Programme for You?

You may be eligible if you are: 

  • A woman returning to the workforce after a period of unemployment 
  • Living in Queensland  
  • An Australian or New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident (or on an eligible Humanitarian Visa) 
  • Motivated to gain skills and secure employment  

There is no cost to eligible participants, with limited places available.

SIT20122 Certificate II in Tourism 

Start your journey in one of Queensland’s most dynamic industries. 

This course will equip you with practical skills in: 

  • Customer service and visitor engagement  
  • Tourism operations and bookings  
  • Working in travel, events, and hospitality environments  

Career outcomes may include: 

  • Visitor information officer  
  • Tourism assistant  
  • Customer service roles in travel and events  

Duration: 15 Weeks
Delivery Mode: In class Tuesdays and Wednesday 9:00am – 2:30pm

HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Support Services 

Build a pathway into the growing health sector with skills that make a real difference. 

This course includes training in: 

  • Infection prevention and control  
  • Supporting patients and healthcare teams  
  • Workplace health and safety practices  

Career outcomes may include: 

  • Hospital support worker  
  • Health services assistant  
  • Patient services roles  

Duration: 15 weeks
Delivery Mode: In class Monday and Thursdays for Cert 3 in Health, 9:00am – 2.30pm

Parking very limited some availability on surrounding streets if early enough. Bus and Train services run regularly and its 400m walk from Train station to training site or you can hop on Bus number 365 off from Train station and is 5 min ride which will drop you right outside Aurora Training Centre

Programme Details

  • Start Date: Mon 20 April 2026 for Cert 3 in Health, Tuesday 21 April 2026 for Cert 2 in Tourism.
  • Duration: Each Course will be running for 15 weeks no school holidays.
  • Schedule: Monday and Thursdays for Cert 3 in Health, Tuesday and Wednesday for Cert 2 in Tourism.9:00am – 2.30pm
  • Location: Robina
