This skill set is for people working in various care and support roles in the community services sector who wish to develop skills in providing person centred support to older people.

This skill set is funded by the Queensland Government under the Higher Level Skills Program.

  • Non Concessional – $20*
  • Concessional – $8*

To achieve the CHCSS00098 – Individual Support – Disability Skill Set, you must be a new or existing worker in the Community Services and Health Industry in a role involving provision of direct client care or support and you must already hold a CHC33015 – Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).

For this skill set 4 units must be completed.

  • CHCDIS001 Contribute to ongoing skills development using a strengths-based approach
  • CHCDIS002 Follow established person-centred behaviour supports
  • CHCDIS003 Support community participation and social inclusion
  • CHCDIS007 Facilitate the empowerment of people with disability
