What is individual support?

Individual support is an area of work involving the care of more vulnerable populations, including the older population, people with a disability and more. There are different specialisations in individual support, including aged care and disability support, allowing you to work in the home, care home, community and some health service environments. As an individual support worker, you provide hands-on care to people who need help and support, based on their individual needs. Individual support courses help you be able to expand your knowledge and learn people-centric approaches to providing this care and growing your career in different areas.
